Speaker Reviews

"What I especially appreciated about Bob Fife's book was his obvious desire to tell his personal story without condemning or condoning. He simply shares his own spiritual journey from sexual addiction to freedom in Christ. I believe this approach is urgently needed in Christian Churches today. Bob's story is a message of healing, forgiveness and restoration with the context of the local church. Individual Christians were willing to set aside their preconceived notions and stigmas and take the risk of reaching out. I would encourage everyone to read this book, but I would particularly recommend this book to Pastors and church leaders."

"Bob Fife served in our church in September 2019 with talks about homosexuality. His life testimony is very impressive, because it shows the power of God to transform people who are deeply immersed in a homosexual lifestyle. What was very useful for our church was the emphasis Bob made on Love-Grace-Truth. He said that these are the elements, and exactly in that order, that we should keep in mind, if we want to help people who want to get out of homosexuality. Bob had three talks in our church, covering topics on the prevention of homosexuality and the role of the church with homosexuals. After each presentation we added a time of questions and answers which was very fruitful. The large number of questions showed interest and the need to learn more about this subject. In addition to the churches, Bob had talks at an institution that works with patients suffering from HIV AIDS, talked to business managers, did an interview with a television channel and also a lot of counseling. Bob is a highly recommended person for any church or Christian organization that seeks to help a person struggling with homosexuality."

"I found the session with Bob truly inspiring. He explained really well how we can show and apply grace, love and truth in order to help/accept people in different walks of their life. I appreciated his boldness and openness talking about his past sexual struggles in order to help or guide people going trough their own sexual brokenness. It’s always easier listening for advice from someone that has been victoriously through the battle. We had been talking about this topic for quite some time and were praying for God to show us a way to address it with love, without compromising the truth. Bob was able to do this in such a graceful way, it made the topic of homosexuality so easy to understand. God is using Bob’s journey towards sexual purity to speak, not only to individuals struggling with same sex attraction, but all believers. Bob’s emphasis on the role of the church in this present time to be loving, graceful and truthful truly resounded with us. Bob’s two handed approach, admonishing believers indulging in sin and offer to help when he/she is ready to change is truly modelled by Jesus as well. Bob’s message is relevant and scripture-based."

"We first heard about Bob Fife via Paraguay and the impact his ministry made among Mennonite Churches in Paraguay. Bob was highly recommended to us by leaders from Paraguay. This opened the door for us to extend an invitation to Bob, to come and share his story, his message at our Church (River East Mennonite Church) in Winnipeg. Bob very willingly accepted this invitation. Bob’s visit gave us the opportunity to get to know Bob, his deep love for God and his deep desire to share how God has helped him to find freedom and healing as someone who lived for many years actively pursuing and practising same sex relationships. The topic that Bob spoke on in our church was: A Biblical Approach to Homosexuality: Condemnation, Confrontation or Connect? Bob has a special gift for communicating and he connected very well and deeply with the persons who attended the evening meeting at our Church. We heard many positive comments in what Bob had to share and how he shared it. We deeply appreciated Bobs coming to our Church and his ministry was a blessing. Personally I got to know Bob as someone who walks with the Lord daily and has a deep desire to connect with others and to share God’s love and grace foremost but also God’s truth with others. His personal life story has much to offer the Christian community and especially those who are struggling with same sex attractions. His focus was always on God’s Word and especially the teachings of Jesus.
